Dear Bulldog Students and Families,

We are beginning another exciting literacy project.  Our whole school, including teachers and staff, will be reading The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane over the next month.  Every student received a book, a bookmark, and a reading calendar. Make sure to return your bookmark, every Friday, signed by a parent/guardian showing that you read your chapters (or someone read them to you) to be entered into a weekly drawing for prizes!  There will be prizes each week for the five weeks we are reading the book. We will also post video links for each chapter on Lula social media pages, the school website, and Remind in case you want to listen along.  Let’s make this a fun, schoolwide literacy project. Once you are finished reading, the book is your to keep for your family library. Happy Reading!  Feel free to send in pictures to tiffany.rogers@hallco.org for extra tickets in the weekly drawing.

Dear Students and Families,

We are beginning an exciting literacy project! Our whole school, including teachers and staff, will be reading Friendship According to Humphrey by Betty G. Birney over the next month. Every student received the book, a bookmark, and a reading calendar. Each week if you return your bookmark signed by a parent/guardian showing that you read your chapters (or someone read them to you), your name is entered into a drawing for prizes! There will be prizes each week for the five weeks we are reading the book. Also, you can listen to the chapters read by special staff members! On the reading calendar below, we will link the read aloud chapter videos so make sure to check back so you can listen to them all!   The links to each chapter reading will also be posted to our school’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, & X).  Let’s make this a fun, schoolwide literacy project! Once you are finished reading, the book is yours to keep for your family library. Happy Reading!
